Junior Theme
Looking for topics on my junior theme, there were several things that came to mind. The first thing i wanted to focus on was right away something relating to geography so i came up with urban sprawl and suburbia. Then i decided well it would be cool to contrast the crime rates with the expansion rates and see if people are really moving away from crime. Then i thought it would be nice i include environmental effects of sprawl and maybe even heath changes. Are these all things i can include in my topic of sprawl? Is this a to narrow topic? Should i expand it to all of suburbia. I think i can find a lot of information on all of this, but i am no expert. Any advise would be helpful.

Josh, love the idea. I'm doing the DOC OC hand gesture. I think it should be Suburbia specifically because when I read ur post, it seemed to broad, and it should be narrowed down. I was having the same problem narrowing a topic down. Still am kinda. There would be lots of great evidence for it. Good luck
Josh,
One title I am familiar with is:
Suburban Nation: The Rise of Sprawl and the Decline of the American Dream by Andres Duany, Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, and Jeff Speck
A terrific website that done by the Sierra Club should give you more ideas: http://www.sierraclub.org/sprawl/

This will give you background and information on attempts to deal with sprawl.
